I could admit within the safe confines of my mind that I might have jumped the gun a little bit. Just attacking someone that I knew little to nothing about was not exactly my brightest moment. But as I looked at the grinning face of the bastard from over the shoulder of his, I assume to be, bodyguard; I found myself not regretting my actions. As a matter of fact…
"Excuse me miss but you are kind of getting in the middle of my business. May I ask you to just stand aside and postpone our talk for about ten minutes, preferably continuing it over some wine and cheese." I asked with a smirk while the woman's gaze remained emotionless except for the single raised eyebrow. She didn't look like she cared much about what was happening.
"Attacking the moment I introduce myself, I guess you know who I am then." Tokinada Something says with an evil grin that turns into a frown as he sees me shrug.
"Nope, the family name is known but I have no idea who you are. Your existence just pisses me off for some reason." I deliver the truth with no shame or hesitation and Tokinada Something's mouth is actually open with shock and missus kuudere actually seemed amused for a moment.
Though my sense of accomplishment from that was soon replaced by irritation as the walking green lemon before me started to laugh.
"Of all the possible people to try to kill me, it was someone who had no idea who I am! Not any of those whom I have ruined! Truly amusing!"
"Never saw someone so willingly admit to being a piece of shit quite like that but thanks for soothing my conscience." I said with a raised eyebrow as I jumped back and manifesting my sword. "So what are the chances of you facing me like a grown man instead of hiding behind a lady's skirt like a little boy?"
"I'd say fifty-fifty." The bastard said with a smile as he pulled out his sword. "It will be quite fun killing you with Aura and taking your fragment."
"...my what?" The hell was this bitch talking about?
"My apologies, I always forget that you Fullbringers have no idea about what your powers really are."
"Fullbringer you say." I tried to make myself sound interested but I was mostly confused, wondering if I had stumbled upon the local crackhead or something.
"Don't tell me you don't actually know what you are. There is no way you haven't figured out those powers with such a strong fragment inside of you."
"Oh don't worry, I know exactly what I am. I just thought I would let you keep your evil monologue, it's a rather special moment for you after all. You must not get to make them everyday." I bullshitted like a pro and gave a proud nod, only for the bastard to start laughing like a maniac.
"You, haha, you really have no idea do you?! To think that such a powerful fragment of our illustrious king actually ended up in a fool like you!"
*BANG*
I immediately materialized my gun and shot the guy the moment he said the word 'king' but the bullet of condensed spiritual energy impacted a barrier before it could reach him. A barrier that seemed like it was made from solid air, as ridiculous as such a thing sounded, rather than energy. The hell was going on?
"So ready for violence. Yet I can't help but be curious, you are the first Quincy I've met who had a fragment after all."
"Are you saying that Fullbringers have fragments of the Soul King within them?"
"Asking questions right after trying to kill me, you are quite a bipolar man." Tokinada said with a shake of his head. "But yes, you are right. That moron Ginjo theorized that the source of their power was hollows attacking their mothers while they were pregnant. It's almost funny how close he was, yet so far." He then smiled in a way that made me reaffirm my earlier belief.
"It's not the hollow attack to their pregnant mother that causes them to have power, it is their power that causes the hollows to attack their pregnant mother! Isn't it funny?"
This guy needed to die.
Wait... Ginjo... the first Substitute Shinigami who claimed that Soul Society murdered his comrades. How Ukitake betrayed him with the whole Substitute Shinigami badge thing.
"And what exactly is your interest in the fragments?" I asked with a glare, already feeling like I knew the answer.
"Hmm, to take them of course. They are far too valuable to be left in the souls of some worthless commoners you know."
"I see, thank you for answering all of my questions." I said with a nod and clapped my hands in front of my face. "In exchange of all this knowledge you gave me, please allow me to properly repay you." I then glared and my shadow started to bubble.
"A parade shall be your reward. A parade of hundred demons." And then the hollows within the shadows burst through and rushed towards Tokinada.
