When I opened my eyes again, I wasn't in the void nor connected to Jushion anymore. It was amazing how suffocating he was and how freeing it was to be away. However, I knew better than to relax. I don't know if he devoured me again because it was too fast, but I understood this place had something to do with him. It looked like Earth, but when and where was a mystery.
Something caught my attention, but it wasn't Jushion.
It's a wolf, and he's familiar. I've seen him before, but he's different from the last time I saw him. He's larger, stronger, and in the pink of health and seems happy. I watch him chase a deer, a stag, and he leaps on it easily. The kill is precise and flawless, the animal falling limp in his mouth. It's a beautiful sight for a predator. The stag is enough to feed a pack of four or five large wolves.
The wolf turns and takes his prize into the forest, and I follow him, curious about what he plans to do with his kill.
