A storm was coming, and it was coming for all of us.
My father showed why he was someone to worry about. When his people couldn't find us, he went a route I hadn't expected him to use. Instead of making me a rogue and casting me out like he should've, he pulled me even further in. Unfortunately, he used Nefra to do it. Now, every news channel, radio station, and newspaper was talking about her as my crazy ex-girlfriend who'd gotten herself pregnant and then proceeded to kidnap me after we'd discovered she was working for a terrorist organization.
It was ridiculous; anyone who knew Nefra would say so, but that was the problem. No one outside of the people we knew would know that. My family had the proof they'd designed months ago on their side, and I only had my word, which no one would believe. The humans didn't particularly care, but the werewolf community did. They were protesting, making demands, and sadly, there were death threats toward my mate and future bride.
