The cold wind howled outside, and inside... it was as cold as ice.
Aske lay bored, staring at the layer of earth above his head. Although he was now awake, his body remained exceptionally fragile.
Especially since his skin had sustained extensive burns, which would have resulted in infection and death for most people.
Possessing a level 5 robust physical ability, the burns had actually become the least serious of his afflictions. All he needed to do was to stay still and await the lengthy process of self-healing.
Self-healing was not a pleasant sensation; all the burned areas of skin felt tingling and numb, as if millions of little insects were burrowing under the skin.
However, Aske being a man of strong resolve, did not complain or scream or anything like that.
Medea moved closer to him.
"I'm a bit cold," she explained with a playful smile when she saw Aske look over at her.
"You could start a fire," Aske said.
