Lyra woke up with a start. Tears streamed down her cheeks like they wouldn't stop any time soon. Her hands scrambled trying to reach her back where an excruciating pain ripped through her own body. Her limbs, skin, and even bones hurt. She had never before experienced something like this.
"Stop it!" She screamed at the top of her lungs sending all of her mates into alert. The one nearest to her held her tightly in his arms trying to calm her down. Demir initially thought that his mate was having a nightmare, but he soon threw that notion out of the window when he saw her eyes wide open. He could clearly see that she was conscious and something was hurting her. His hunch turned out to be true because the next moment Killian was standing right outside their sleeping quarters while he looked like he was hurting.
