'Glaive, spear or something else entirely.' Frost pondered his choices.
If it was yesterday he would have picked the glaive without a moment's hesitation but now he wondered if perhaps a spear would be better. Khione was willing to teach him how to wield one and given the fact that the vast majority of the soldiers he'd seen bore spears as their primary weapon, the vault likely had a plethora of choice.
Therefore choosing a spear would be the most pragmatic choice, the one most likely to result in a weapon of higher value/quality than usual.
However was Frost lacking in funds? Hardly. To him it meant no difference whether a weapon was worth 20% more than another or whether it was a sub level higher in quality, all that mattered was whether he could use it effectively or not.
A spear may be useful to him one day but even with the help of a grandmaster like Khione it'd take quite some time for him to reach the same degree of mastery he had with the glaive.
