Dopey sent me a dead dog. Had Dan not been by my side I would have said it was him. In a fit of rage I sent her a few boxes of live baby snakes and spider nonstop for the next eight days. I was told by the doctors that she didn't eat or sleep for the next few days. They had to sedate her to put her to sleep and they actually had to feed her using a tube. She kept screaming that I had sent them in retaliation for the dead dog. She had unknowingly confessed to harassment so her sentence wasn't reduce. DD requested to have her punishment lengthened. She was sent to the isolation ward which is the mental hospital's version of solitary confinement. She was screaming absolute bloody murderer the entire time she was being dragged there. Tanya sent me the video of the event. The authorities were concerned that she has learned to convince people to help her harass me. All in the pursuit to prove I am a menace to society. I almost laughed my ass off.
DD was happy to see that I had taken a ward. He was sad that our children had Cystic Fibrosis. He was amazed that I managed to go through cases and still find time for him. Cassie and Tanya sent gifts to DD as a welcome back present. DD got see how much I cared about him. Henry happily reported to DD that I was thinking about retiring from the police force. I had tried many things but in the end I just end up depressed because I was alone. I had applied for this dangerous line of work as a way to cope with his death.
This came as a shock to him. He asked me if I wanted children. I told him that I only imagined having children with him. I liked Gus but it felt wrong to have kids with him. I had used birth control pill till it sank in that I was finally married. I miss our children. I have had a few suitors come my way but they all had same problem. They weren't him. This enhanced his already handsome features. I accidentally blurted this out and he smiled, "So I am your kryptonite?" I tried to escape with what dignity I had but I fell butt first on the couch. He happily pinned me down and asked again. I simply smiled. Owen and the others laughed as we got up blushing. I bet I looked like a circus clown. The doorbell rang interrupting this moment. Owen ran to answer it.
When he came back he had a grim expression. I didn't need anyone telling me that it was from Dopey. It was a single photograph of mom. I didn't bother ready what was written in the back. I just wanted this to end. I walked to the kitchen and pulled out the floor boards. I fished out my hunting rifle. It was not there and I assumed that the other me hid it for some stupid reason. I told Dan that I will be right back. I apologized for this and I hope to make up for it. I called Tanya and she called a few of her friends so I could sneak in.
Henry drove me to building that is not far from the mental hospital where Dopey is. I was introduced to Deirdre. She disguised me so that I won't be identified. She and I walked in through the front door and saw the guard was busy watching football. He buzzed us in without looking at our faces. I made sure that my face was hidden from the camera. Tanya and Cassie made sure that the cameras were rendered useless. I walked into the supply closet and found what I was looking for. A syringe. I had brought with me the vial of poison that soft serve had left in the basement. She made it clear that this was for emergency only. It was storming cats and dogs so I am emptying the entire vial into her. I wore a nurse's outfit and mask. I walked towards the direction that Cassie had given me. I found the floor that Dopey was in. Cassie blocked the door that leads to the hallway and asked me a simple question. Would I ever do this to her. I knew I had to be careful or this will be my last kill. So I replied, "If you hurt my family, then the answer is yes. But you are like my sister. What would I gain from killing you?" She froze for a moment and let me in. I walked and saw that she was half awake. I had a feeling that talking would get me in trouble so I thought myself, "No hard feeling dear but this is goodbye" I stood over her and she looked at me with a blank expression. It looked like she didn't recognize me. Then a single tear popped out and slide down the side of her face. I injected the stuff into her slowly and watched her slowly start to writhe in pain. I waved at her and walked away. Deirdre and I spend an hour in the hospital before we had to leave on a family emergency. We walked out along with Cassie. She looked a little puzzled that she was being yanked out but she had no complaints. We drove till we reached Tanya. She let us in and we watched from the security footage that the nurse walks in and screams like they do in the movies. Soon people were scurrying around like a bunch of ants.
There was screams and soon sirens were heard as we got out. Henry had borrowed a van that was painted black just for this occasion. The windows were tinted so nobody can see inside. We made it safely home and I had to explain to Dan as I packed my stuff. I had a feeling I will be kicked out of the house when I tell him everything. But for some reason he pulled me away from the duffle bag. He told me that he understands that this can be fixed. I only followed what I was programmed to do. He forgave me since the ward was kind enough to explain to him in my absence the length that Dopey had gone to mentally torture all of us. I closed my eyes and called out, "Hey Cinderella get out of there. Your rides here"
She didn't tie me up at all. She smiled as grinned at her turn to be out and about. She walked past me wondering what she has to face. Boy is she in for a surprise. I winked at her mouthing a good luck as I turned to see the surroundings turn from a dream to nightmare. The lush forest turned into scene on the docks with the storm of the century. The sky turned to shades of black and gray with out any ray of sunshine passing through. The wind picked up speed. Lightening struck as thunder rumbled on repeat. The place was illuminated with light bulbs that were about to stop shining their light. I saw a silloute of a man holding a large hook walking towards me. He thought he could intimidate me. I eat this geeks for breakfast. His face fell when he saw my face and ran for dear life. I laughed with delight as he realized who he was messing with. He ran across the board walk as I picked up a harpoon and threw it at him. I missed the first time but got him on the second. I turned to see soft serve waiting to wave at me before she goes to see prince charming. I waved first and didn't wait to see her wave back.
I watched as she disappeared into the fog to fight Uncle Davis. She has been making all sorts of scenarios where she assumes she might meet him and give him the heart attack she believes that he deserves. I opened my eyes to see DD and I thought I was tripping. I said, "Oh man of my dreams. If you are here to take me away I am ready. If you are really here then never me leave again" He smiled, "I guess I am your kryptonite no matter what huh" I was shocked that he spoke. It has been so long that I had forgotten the sound of his voice. I had been in too much pain to watch the videos of us. I pinched myself and I looked up to see him. I slapped myself and I looked up to see him. Henry shook me and explained how he was found. I hugged DD and promised to never let him go. He was the best thing that ever happened to me. I regret not telling him that. He hugged back and explained that Apple was dead. I gave DD my wrist and asked him to arrest me. He brushed me off. He said that had Apple tried what she did to me with him he would have Henry deal with it. The others happily promise to be a concrete alibi. They will attest in court that I was in house cooking dinner for guest that Dan had called over.
