BOOM!
Zhan Tian's sword came down like a falling star, striking Yun Lintian square in the chest despite his evasion attempt. Ribs shattered instantly, blood spraying from his mouth as he was sent flying across the battlefield.
"Guh—!" Yun Lintian crashed through several stone pillars before rolling to a stop.
"Big Brother Yun!" Linlin screamed, her claws digging into the earth as she fought against Zhan Tian's oppressive aura.
Yun Lintian coughed up blood, but his hands were already moving. Emerald light burst from his palms as he activated the Breath of the World Tree. The shattered ribs began knitting back together, torn flesh mending at visible speed.
Zhan Tian didn't give him time to recover.
The War God appeared above him, sword raised for another strike. Yun Lintian barely rolled away as the blade carved a ravine into the ground where he'd lain.
"Not bad," Zhan Tian commented, his voice carrying across the battlefield. "To think you can still move after that."
