Ange's constructed body had ten fingers, each with their first segment made from the World Tree, which provided the main advantages of greater flexibility and sensitivity. The fingers could gauge the strength of their grip to avoid crushing things.
In contrast, the same model plantation constructs of the Friel Empire lacked such fingers and were without Black Crystal, so despite being nominally the same model, the practicality was far inferior. They were often used as movers and were unable to work independently.
Such was the advantage brought by the World Tree. Ange had already pulled off three or four fingers and would end up using all ten if this continued.
Of course, it didn't matter if he used them up; one could just whittle a few from a newly grown World Tree. Ange had brought a whole bunch of World Tree branches as spares.
