Highland, as the name suggests, refers to a hillside and represents the highest terrain in the vicinity. Formed by the erosion of running water, natural gullies emerged, and the area from the bottom of the gully to the slope naturally became a wall, advantageous for defense from a high position and difficult to assault.
Hence, this settlement was named Highland City, the only one among the four settlements that had a name.
However, the highlands had their disadvantages; the terrain was uneven, water collection was challenging, and soil erosion was severe, making it unsuitable for cultivation. Thus, the population here was the smallest.
