Not even an hour later, Rex was already back meeting Grant.
Surprisingly enough, Grant seemed to be expecting him to come back.
He was sitting on a particular spot on the east side of the ruin, a small sitting place that viewed the tower in the distance. Once Rex found Grant, he wasted no time to ask the question in his mind, "Grant, tell me one thing. What exactly is the Forsaken Tower?"
Grant sighed as he knew that this question was coming.
It was the question that the previous teams asked him too, and he'd give Rex the answer he always gave.
"I don't know…" He answered dejectedly. "As far as I know—at some point in the past, my ancestors built the Forsaken Tower. It has been there and connected to the Mahkam Ruin since I wasn't even born yet, but I truly don't know what it was for."
Rex was troubled by this.
Knowing the purpose of the tower would help him anticipate unpredictable variables better.
He came here expecting Grant to know something, anything, but he didn't.
