Resting, Shao Zifeng suddenly opened his eyes and saw the little toothed dragon intently staring at the misty lake surface.
Alarm bells went off in his heart as he pulled out the short sword sheathed in his slip-resistant boots, "Little thing, what did you find?"
"Gurgle."
The little toothed dragon turned its head to look at him, stretching out its short forelimbs towards the lake surface, then as if remembering something, hastily withdrew its little paws and curled up.
"Is there something there?"
Shao Zifeng stood up and gave Karen a signal with his eyes.
Then, the three figures, two large and one small, crouched on the bank of Under Ice Lake, entranced by the rolling mist.
One minute.
Five minutes.
The scene at Under Ice Lake was unchanged as ever. Water murmured from the icy cave walls, and the lake's surface, touched by a dim light, took on a faint blue hue as it rolled with the waves, revealing no sign of change.
"Could you have seen wrong?"
