"She's fighting it off,"
Hermes stood over Shai, analyzing her. Her fever had gotten down, but she was still fighting the illness. He could see it as a battlefield with her in the middle and the illness surrounding her. Shai had been winning as of late. Shai's breath went even as she flinched in her sleep, holding her hand to her hip, where it should be.
"She's looking for the weapon. Why would she do that?"
Hermes wondered, reaching over for the rage on her head wrapped around an ice bag, its still could but she kept fidgeting making it fall, Hermes placed it back onto her forehead when he hears her mutter,
"Stop, you can't leave me here,"
Hermes stopped his gaze and went to her slumbering face. She held a soft snarl with her hand clenching the bed, Hermes glanced at her hand perplexed,
"This isn't right. She shouldn't be going through this. Is the scroll told nothing of this other than her and the weapon, unless this is her reacting to it,"
Hermes went to pull away, but she grabbed onto his cloth, keeping him there, and he looked to her, Shai stared back at him tired. warn. She muttered under her breath,
"The weapon is there doing, it's making me sick?"
"It could be Shai,"
"There would be another explanation,"
"You have been stressed Shai, it's only been five weeks now that you have stopped Herman, and the weapon has been with you longer. It's attaching to you in more than one way,"
Shai huffed her face scrunching in pain holding on to his cloth tigher bringing him closer, Hermes huffed looking down at where the weapon would be, there was a soft glow around her hip going up, Hermes glanced at Shai who is still in pain asking,
"Can I touch your hip?"
Shai opened her eyes, looking at her, and then at her hip, there was a glow. Maybe he had an idea of how to stop it,
"Sure,"
Hermes touched her hip, having a cold hand touch her hip, made Shai jump, sitting up, looking between the two, Hermes squinted. it was the weapon. It's making her this way, Hermes glared, pulling some of it out of her hip,
"Stop!"
Shai let out a pained shout, pushing at his arm, Hermes not wanting to tear his gaze away from the weapon's glow, saw that it didn't fade. In fact, it grew stronger. Shai pulled at him and let out a grunt,
"Hermes, stop it's bad,"
Hermes looked to her when his arm bent, he let out a shocked gasp, feeling a piercing pain in his arm, he leaned away from Shai, looking at his arm, the glow went around his arm, Hermes moved it away using his strength to push it out,
"That's it, it's the weapon,"
Hermes pushed it away from him. It diapered from his arm, and Hermes looked to Shai, she's staring at him with the same realization, the weapon something had been wrong with it. Shai felt the pain subside, and she sat up, letting go of Hermes,
"The weapon is doing this, but for what? it made the portal without another thought, hell, it did it on its own accord,"
"It made the portal on its own,"
"Yes, it did,"
They stared at where it would be, it was acting so peculiar, it didn't do this before, but then it wasn't with its holder, Hermes glanced at Shai, she looked better than before, not as pale and her fever was gone. It could be cause he took some of it and dispersed what strength it has at her hip.
"Shai, this isn't heard of, but I might have an idea of why it's doing,"
"What would that be?"
"Before you were able to use it without setbacks, maybe this was strong enough to harm you, the portal,"
Shai contemplated. It was the first time it made the portal they wouldn't know if there were side effects. She looked down at her hip with the glow gone,
"You have a great idea, Hermes,"
Shai flinches, looking behind Hermes to see the other figure in front of the closed door, he smiled at him, pointing at Hermes, who stared at him amused, now he has the confidence to sneak up on him like this, interesting.
"Other figure, right? you've gotten confident from the last time we met,"
The other figure smiled at him, walking to the bed, glancing at Shai. She was better after he took from the weapon. He looked to Hermes and said
"I had to. It seemed like you were like us in that instance,"
"I guess we were figure, but I would suggest thinking otherwise,"
The other figure shivered by the tone of his voice. It sounded jovial but with a hidden threat behind it. The figure didn't show his concern, and he went to Shai looking at her form, so it was having a reaction? Hermes stared at him unbothered. He didn't think it would be that easy, The other figure glanced at Shai asking,
"You are going through the side effects?"
"Of the weapon or the stress from what I have to help you with?"
The other figure froze. He knew it could have been it all that made her this ill, but it's the weapon that is causing it to be worse them they have thought. He touched her hip, feeling that the wepoan wasn't there, not even its strength couldn't be felt,
"What you did helped her, Hermes,"
"I know that,"
"But she still needs time, doesn't she?"
Hermes looked at the other figure, they had the same thought in mind they must help her, The other figuer moved away from Shai seeing her stare at them tried but not as she was before, weak, warn out, She sat up staring at the two,
"So what are you two planning now?"
They glanced at each other, almost glaring at each other, theyer planning just not with each other.
"You still have to rest, but soon we will need to talk about what to do if you're not able to fight on Friday,"
"You're right there isnt a way to delay it,"
"There already looking into your government here,"
Shai and the other figure looked at him, they have already made it there, and they were trying to get in taking a person for their own using them as a pawn for their own skin.
"How long,"
"From the being of the week they were there, stacking over the building, you guys call the capital, right?"
"They've been at the capital?"
The other figure asked walking to him leaving Shai conflicted, she was stuck here for now until she can get better, She moved crossing her legs breathing softly thinking of what she could do while Hermes and figure talked,
"Who were they,"
"One woman and a man were there. i just happen to fly by trying to visit Shai,"
"What were they doing,"
"Watching over a woman with black hair blue eyes and pale skin, did i meet all the criteria,"
"No, but i wouldn't bother trying,"
Hermes glared at him and leaned towards him, he's rather quick with his wit. That is something he can enjoy, The other figures stared at him before trying to let out,
"Black hair, blue eyes and pale..."
The door opened with a soft voice coming from behind him, "Shai, are you awake,"
"I heard other voices coming from here,"
Judy stepped into the room, staring at where Shai laid. She then caught the other figure, and Hermes stared, She froze from Hermes gaze, they were real. Judy went closer to Shai with Hermes staring at her, amused. The other figure stared at her eyes wide this is who they were talking about. She met all the criteria, The other figure went to walk towards her, but Hermes beat him to her, taking a step to her and said,
"You were in the chamber, right?"
Judy grabbed Shais end of the bed looking at him, she felt a shiver go up her spine from his blue hues, he has a hesitant smile waiting for her answer while Judy nervous but answered his question,
"I was at the chambers. Are you real?"
Hermes grins at her and says, "As real as you,"
"Then you were talking with Shai before?"
"I was,"
"Why are you here now?"
"To help her, of course,"
Judy glanced at Shai and saw that she's sitting up staring between the two. She only got sick when she got back, could it be something to do with that weapon,
"It is. You have good intuition,"
"You heard that,"
"It wasn't hard you said it out loud,"
The other figure interrupted and Judy with Hermes looked to him, Judy stares at him stern, this is her time to ask him what else do they have hidden from plain view, The other figure saw how strong her stare is and told her,
"You want to ask me something? Why don't we ask each other what we want to know,"
Judy, though, i do need to find out more of them, and he wouldn't harm them now, not when he's with Shai helping,
"I agree i will tell you, but you better tell me what you all are,"
