He let out a scream in pain as the purple lightning damaged his facial skin and muscles. Even though he was a Half-Step Red Mark, he was unable to protect his face at this range.
The purple lightning can cause harm to a Black Mark Warrior. Though the purple lightning didn't cause serious injury to the opponent's face, it was able to harm the skin and muscles, thereby disfiguring it.
My heart was terrified. I didn't plan on attacking him, but it was a subconscious movement. My heart wanted me to flee at that moment.
