The words that came out of Odette's lips hardly held any intensity.
"I will be coming in a while, so leave," Odette ordered.
She didn't want anyone to see her in this weakened state. This made her feel pathetic.
However, Jeanette wasn't willing to leave her alone in this state.
"How can I? Come, I will help you up and carry you outside."
This made Odette look at the skinny and delicate princess in front of her and shake her head with amusement. This made Jeanette scoff.
"What? Do you think I can't do it? I will prove you wrong. Come on."
Jeanette was about to help Odette up when the younger girl refused her touch and said, "I am not a weakling like you. Nothing will happen to me, so leave."
The lack of momentum in her tone made her words hardly reliable, and it only caused Jeanette more distressed. Odette was wounded in her head and losing blood at a quick rate. It seemed that she had a difficult time maintaining her consciousness as well.
