The Sanctuary was indeed struggling to hold on.
A Demon Wolf, insane with rage, leapt through the air towards the Paladin before it. Facing the oncoming savage wolf, the Paladin swung his longsword, cleaving it in two from head to tail, as its pungent blood sprayed down, staining the once pure white armor a vivid red.
However, the Paladin presently paid no mind to such trifle, kicking the corpse beside him away as the holy flame ignited once more on his blade.
"This isn't a place for you demon creatures, get back!!"
Accompanied by the roar, the Paladin swung his longsword fiercely, and in an instant, the white holy flames burst spectacularly, tearing the encroaching demon creatures into fragments. But the next moment, the Paladin was seen gasping for breath, staggering back a few steps, and leaning on the sword against the wall.
"Squeak—!!"
