"Eirwen wake up mother is calling for you" Chika looked at her sleeping younger brother with a face that looked as if it was sculptured out of pure ice. She quickly scooped him of his floating bed while quickly making her way towards the door.
Eirwen awoke as his sister's scent came suddenly and the warmth of her arms were around him. Opening his eyes while looking up at his older sister his soft voice asked "Chika just 5 more hours? She just wants to parade me around as her trophy to so other clans anyways.." Cheeks puffing as he pouted about his sleep being disturbed.
A ghost of a smile crossed Chika's lips before she shook her head. "She would just send another to come get you? would you like for it to be Aunt cho or maybe one of our cousins" Her voice teasing him as a small laugh came out as Eirwen face was full of panic.
He looked away "no no sister please dont let them near me again.." a shiver escaped his body as he remembered his aunts and cousins affections as he started calling them. It wasn't so bad when he was younger but now as his age grew so did the unwanted advances of his older cousins and aunts.
The moon clan was one of the oldest clans in the empire and while most house holds had at least one son a generation. The moon clan couldn't say the same. Eirwen was the first male born in 500 years. The other males in the house were either commoners who held no magic or married into the family from other noble households.
Chika shook her head in amusement as she kept walking " I can walk myself" Eirwen mumbled his face embarrassed as they passed a servant with him being princess carried by his sister. " Hush now my little dragon we will be there soon your. After yesterday's incident I'd rather carry you there then risk it" Tighting her hold on him as she moved town the hall in her long strides.
Chicka was already a tall woman at 5"11 for only being 14 years old. Long Silver haired that cascaded down to her thighs was a family trait of the moon clan, Eyes silver and pale as the Moonlight itself. Her lips were a bit thin but matched with the pale skin and goddess like figure she had her beauty couldn't be denied. She towered over her mother and other sisters. While not being the oldest daughter she was the one that had established herself closest to Eirwen.
Eirwen hid his face in her stomach. Yesterday him collapsing in front of the whole family was embarrassing to him. He was alot smaller then all the children near his age while also being fragile. It was to the point his mother had stepped on the toes of the clan leader to make a point that her son was to be treated carefully as a priceless object swaddled in silk. All interactions after that for Eirwen were only with adults or older teenage women who all had been warned about how to play with him.
His sister that was only 2 years older was walking down the hall towards them. Terra's face brightened up as she started to make her way over towards them, but stopped short at the killing intent she felt from Chika's eyes. Deciding to make a move another day she smiled sweetly at Eirwen "I'll visit you sometime later little brother " giggling as she ran off past them. Eirwen waved to her as they passed. Terra was always very nice to him and didnt whisper things in his ear about what they could do in the future like his young aunts or cousins did.
The temperature off the hallway dropped a few degrees as Chika tried to get her emotions back in cheek. Terra was her biggest rival in the fight to become Eirwen's guardian. It was a privilege position to anyone in the clan that was unmarried and still a virgin. At the age of 12 Eirwen like all men of magic households would be bonded by blood to a woman of the his clan to be his Guardian and later first wife. This was a ancient practice to help keep the male in the family while also having a protector for him for when he was sent to the hungry she wolfs at the magic academy.
The guardian was usually much older and trained by her household to protect there male offspring. Males were rare enough in magic family's that no family would risk him being stolen or seduced to another. At the moment it looked like Chika had the position but anything was possible with her siblings, aunts, and cousins all wanting Eirwen for themselves. The moon clan was one of the smaller major clans but still hoisted over 300 females. Chika was luckier then most Guardian prospects as almost all the older females in her clan married early never expecting to have a male born into their family. She herself would have went to the academy this year to look for a potential husband if not for Eirwen being born.
Shaking her head to get rid of thoughts of killing her sisters as the arrived at the door. Letting Eirwen down and ruffling his hair a bit she whispered to him "Remember dont be afraid of the strangers mother and I will protect you ok?" Eirwen nodded sagely and looked confident "Ok I will show them the honor of the moon" Grabbing his sisters hand as the walked through the door.
