"Did you?" she pressed again, voice cutting through the charged silence. And if he did who else behind her back has he left trailing her actions.
Lu Jianjun exhaled slowly, then nodded. "I did." But before she could lash out, he added, "Not in the way you think."
Li Na's frown deepened. "Then explain," she challenged. "Every damn detail like I did. What exactly did you tell him?"
A subtle smile came to form at the corner of his lips. Why was he suddenly feeling embarrassed to tell her. Perhaps because she had never imagined he would say anything that sort regarding her infront of others when there nothing. Lu Jianjun's fingers intertwined, his knuckles tightening as he stared down at them. He hesitated, as though weighing his words carefully. But his silence only fueled her frustration.
