"Foolish? People are indeed foolish, blindingly so…"
Davis couldn't help but chuckle. Only he knew how foolish he was, while many others looked up to him like he was some deity who would not fall. He appreciated their sentiments but didn't want to look at him like he was infallible.
From the start, he had struggled, hoping to find a way to keep them all alive, which was impossible no matter how hard he looked around. He was on a foolish embark, one that would possibly break him beyond redemption.
"I'm no different." Myria firmly uttered.
"I foolishly fell in love with you even though I know I'm not going to be your first. I foolishly fell in love with you, knowing that you or I could devour each other, and I also knew that I would continue to be in love with you even if you turned and stab me in the back. That's how foolish I am right now… so your background or true origin isn't my concern. I am willing to spend my life for you even if it sets the last embers of my soul ablaze."
