So, get this — I died. And no, not in some heroic, save-the-world kind of way. Just your average, "Oops, guess I wasn’t the main character" situation. But instead of finding myself in some fantasy world with a harem and godlike powers, I wake up as… a worm.
Yeah. A literal, squishy parasite in a lab, surrounded by creepy scientists and test tubes. Awesome, right? Turns out, I’m part of some twisted experiment, and my new life plan is basically "don’t get stepped on."
But then there’s Aika. She’s this soft-spoken, part-AI girl who’s way too innocent to be stuck in a place like this. She doesn’t treat me like a disgusting lab freak, which is a nice change of pace. Together, we figure out how to survive the horrors of the lab — including some monstrous Hive Mind that wants to consume everything. Fun times.
Except things don’t exactly go according to plot. Reality itself breaks. Next thing I know, we’re thrown into a different world like someone hit the cosmic reset button. But hey, I’ve still got my snark, a rapidly growing set of parasite powers, and an unsettling suspicion that I’m way more involved in this universe’s screw-up than I’d like to be.
I’m not some legendary hero, and I’m definitely not the chosen one. But if fate’s got a problem with me, it better be ready to fight.
Because this Parasyte isn’t going down without a bite.
